This foam cannon orifice is a screw in nozzle jet for foam cannons (foam lances). Before buying this item, make sure your foam cannon is MJJC branded, as it might not work correctly on other branded foam cannons.
Please note the information we provide is a guide only, incorrect orifice size may cause damage to your pressure washer.
What is the pressure range for each orifice?
1.1 mm orifice: for under 1595 psi (110 Bar) pressure washers
1.25 mm orifice: for 1595 psi (110 Bar) – 2175 psi (150 Bar) pressure washers
1.35 mm orifice: for 2175 psi (150 Bar) – 3625 psi (280 Bar) pressure washers
1.65 mm orifice: for 3625 psi (280 Bar) – 4931 psi (340 Bar) pressure washers
Initially, each MJJC foam cannon comes equipped with a 1.25 mm orifice nozzle jet. You may need the 1.25 mm orifice as a replacement if the previous one is not working properly. However, if your pressure washer is not producing enough pressure or its output flow rate is too low, you may need a 1.1 mm orifice nozzle jet on your foam cannon to produce thicker foam to better wash your vehicle. For example, in the USA, as the electrical voltage is 110V, most electrical power washers are very compact and produce lower pressure. For those pressure washers, most machines need a 1.1 mm orifice nozzle to create thicker foam. If your foam cannon works fine with your pressure washer, then there is no reason to replace the nozzle jet.
Recommended for most pressure washers under 1595 psi (110 Bar) is a 1.1 mm orifice. If your pressure washer produces over 1595 psi (110 Bar), or the outflow rate is stronger than a normal 1595 psi (110 Bar) pressure washer and you put a 1.1 mm orifice on your foam cannon, your pressure washer will most likely pulsate. In that case, you can replace the 1.1 mm orifice with the 1.25 mm orifice, and it should operate as normal.
Frequently Asked Questions
- Why do the 1.1 mm and 1.25 mm nozzles look the same?
The 1.1 mm and 1.25 mm nozzles look the same, except for the size of the holes, 1.1 mm, and 1.25 mm. The openings are ridiculously small, so the size difference can be difficult to notice to the naked eye.
- Why doesn’t my foam cannon create thicker foam as others do?
The foaming performance depends on not only the foam cannon but also the pressure and output rate of your pressure washer, as well as your car wash shampoo (soap). A foam cannon will produce thicker foam with concentrated shampoo (soap), but most brands of shampoo (soap) are not concentrated, even from some of the best-selling brands. We recommend using a snow foam specific shampoo.
- Does this spare nozzle work with other brands of foam cannons?
No, this nozzle jet is specially designed for MJJC foam cannons only.
- Does the MJJC Foam Cannon come with an extra 1.1 mm orifice?
Yes, every MJJC foam cannon comes with one extra, 1.1 mm orifice as a spare. The original orifice installed on the foam cannon measures 1.25 mm.
