A damaged oil separator breather hose can force pressure from the crankcase ventilation system to be expelled into the atmosphere, causing your car's engine to run rough and result in poor fuel efficiency. Depending on the position of the hose in relation to the oil separator oil may also be expelled causing an unwanted oil leak. This breather hose is attached to the oil separator.

Fits perfectly into the CCV but does not fit securely to the connector on the engine. No matter how much pressure I applied it would not completely lock into place. In the end I fitted it as much as I could and left it as is. No leaks so far and with the limited space in the engine bay I doubt it would come loose. In terms of function I guess I does what it's supposed to do. Seems like a good quality part except for the fitment to the engine side.
