Manufacturing tolerances not acceptable

Installed the item OK, but then the pipe from the radiator overflow tank leaked at the seal of this new item. Removed the inlet manifold (again) to access item and when measured, the OD of the pipe flange was found to be nearly 1mm smaller in diameter than the OEM part. I have two of these Topran items, and they both measured the same dimension. I had to use the square seal from the topran item and refit the OEM part. No further leaks. Maybe these items need to be supplied with new orings for the attached pipes as well?

We’ve since ordered and stocked OEM febi filstein flanges. Upon checking, we found a small variation similar to what you mentioned, ranging from 37.85 to 38.22 mm at the end og the pipe. The O-ring in the connecting hose seals approximately 5 mm past the taper at the base of the pipe, where it measures around 38.2 mm consistently.
