This kit is a great way to cover all possible vacuum issues! If the engine breather valve is faulty it may cause your car's engine to run rough. The breather valve purges oil vapour from the rocker cover of the engine. Enclosed in the breather valve housing is the oil separator, the oil separator stops oil and allows oil vapours to be released. Engine breather valves can fail due to the internal diaphragm splitting.
A damaged breather hose can force pressure from the crankcase ventilation system to be expelled into the atmosphere, causing your car's engine to run rough and result in poor fuel efficiency. Depending on the position of the hose in relation to the engine breather, oil may also be expelled causing an unwanted oil leak.
