After years of exposure to high engine bay temperatures and hot coolant the plastic flanges and pipes can become weak and brittle. This can cause cracks and lead to coolant loss resulting in overheating issues. Its common that if one fails the others won't be far off either. This kit is a great way to eliminate any coolant flange and pipe leaks!
The thermostat controls the flow of coolant into your engine based on the temperature. The thermostat can fail by being stuck open or closed. If stuck open your car may not reach operating temperature and if stuck closed your engine may not receive enough coolant to adequately cool the engine resulting in your car overheating. Also if stuck closed your heater may not blow hot air.
