The original air intake charge pipe is made from plastic and prone to failure. The main failure point is the plastic flange that connects to the throttle body. Thousands of times the engine and attached engine components heat up and cool down; this can cause the plastic to become weak, brittle and break. Keep the OE (original equipment) style with this direct replacement.
