When transmission mounts fail, they can cause excessive vibrations throughout your car. These vibrations come from the automatic transmission or manual gearbox and travel down the driveline. This can cause further damage to your tail shaft coupling also known as the flex disc or giubo. Transmission mounts are partially made of rubber and over time the rubber can become dry and cracked causing the mount to fail. Often replaced as a set.
