Eliminate any chance of tail shaft vibrations with this centre mount and flex disc kit! The tail shaft centre mount with bearing is used to support the tail shaft and keep it in the correct position. BMW's have 2-piece tail shafts and need this extra support to keep the tail shaft inline and tight. If you are noticing vibrations in the centre of the car when driving it could be time to check the centre mount.
The tail shaft coupling, also known as the giubo or flex joint is used to absorb driveline vibrations. As the joint ages, it can become brittle, dry, and cracked. Once the joint becomes worn, you may start to notice driveline vibrations and clunking noises coming from underneath your car. The tail shaft can also be known as a driveshaft or propeller shaft, prop shaft for short.
